The Story Behind the Print
This 1873 Holmdel, New Jersey map print shows the township in a faded hand-brushed sage wash on warm cream paper. Fine property lettering and a branching road network make it a detailed study piece.
The map names Holmdel P.O. and Morrisville, with Hop Brook winding across the south and Marlboro, Raritan and Middletown lettered along its borders. Holmdel Business Notices run down the right side above the title and scale.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
