The Story Behind the Print
Laurens Hammond’s U.S. Patent 1956350, granted April 24, 1934, documents an electrical musical instrument using rotating tone generators and electromagnetic pickup systems to produce stable musical frequencies.
Dense generator assemblies, keyboard circuitry, and sectional details create a richly mechanical score across the page. This restored edition preserves the original patent arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for music rooms, studios, listening spaces, and collections of electronic music history.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
