We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Mary Florence Potts’s U.S. Patent 113,448, granted April 4, 1871, describes Mary Florence Potts’s sad iron with a detachable curved handle, locking plate, heat-insulated cavity, and interchangeable heated bases.

Three carefully spaced iron and handle views combine domestic form, mechanical locking, and period signatures. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

Very pleased with Justin's work. We received our print in less than a week and couldn't be happier with the final result. Both the map and the frame were high quality with great detail. Justin was also a pleasure to work with and responded timely to all of my questions. I would highly recommend this shop.
Shipped soon after I ordered and came in about a week! (That includes a holiday and the weekend). I loved how carefully packaged my print came and it even had a note from the seller, very thoughtful touch. The print looks so clear and the paper is great quality, it looks even better than the picture online. I would 100% recommend this shop/ seller.
Justin and Paola were so easy to communicate with - they even expedited shipping for this order at no additional charge when they heard that it was meant to be a birthday gift! I was so lucky to find their shop, since I was looking for a really specific print. It also arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommend their business!
