The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Painted Finch print reproduces plate 53 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and colorful botanical gallery walls.
Five finches gather among leafy plum branches and green fruit. Vivid red, blue and yellow birds contrast with a green companion above; one carries a fine strand in its bill, while another holds a pale feather beside the foliage.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
