The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Wood Thrush print reproduces plate 73 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
Two thrushes occupy sweeping dogwood branches with clusters of red berries and green, ochre and orange leaves. The upper bird raises its open bill, showing a warm brown back, while the lower bird leans toward the foliage with its cream, dark-spotted breast in view.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
