The Story Behind the Print
This Rocky Mountain Plover bird print reproduces plate 350 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. A single plover moves across a sloping mountain ledge.
Its black-tipped bill, warm brown crown, finely patterned wing and long pale legs stand against distant grey peaks and a softly colored sky. The original No. 70, Plate CCCL, Rocky Mountain Plover title, historical Latin name, Adult Female designation and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
