The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Black-throated Bunting print reproduces plate 384 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired gallery walls.
Two buntings perch on slender stems beneath a tall spray of yellow blossoms. The upper bird's gray head, dark throat and rust-colored wings contrast with its brown companion, while long, curling leaves and fine grasses trace the height of the composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
