The Story Behind the Print

This vintage afternoon tea menu print re-creates the September 1, 1942 afternoon tea menu from Fountain Terrace, restored as historical wall art for kitchens, dining rooms, cafes, and restaurant-themed gallery walls.

Beverages, soups, salads, toast, and wafers appear in an understated arrangement with historic prices. The lettering has been newly typeset to recreate the menu, preserving its wording and quiet afternoon-tea character in a readable composition.

Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
