The Story Behind the Print
This 1889 Somerville, Massachusetts map print brings the city's four wards together in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with fine street lettering and busy railway lines for a study or library.
The map shows Somerville's numbered wards with College Hill, Spring Hill, Prospect Hill and Ten Hills. Broadway Park and the Mystic River appear among streets, railroads, civic buildings and industrial grounds, preserving a detailed view of the city in 1889.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
