The Story Behind the Print
This 1889 Townsend Village, Massachusetts map print sets the village plans in a pale hand-brushed wash on soft ivory paper, with its streets, buildings, river and Mill Village inset kept in the original engraving.
The sheet is lettered Townsend, Town of Townsend, with the Squannicook, Main St., Highland St., the Cemetery and the Fitchburg R.R., and a Mill Village inset for the Town of Ashby.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.

“The seller was great! And the item even better. Exactly as described and my husband was thrilled with this gift. Got the largest, framed map and it is stunning. Love it!”
“Brilliant service. The seller reported a delay in the frame style, a second choice was immediately substituted, (visual choices were made available), and the shipment completed without any problem. He was candid, honest, and thorough. The item is stunning! It is the focal point in the living room,”
