We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

William B. Gruber’s U.S. Patent 2189285, granted February 6, 1940, documents a handheld stereoscopic viewer using a circular image reel, paired lenses, and an indexing mechanism to present successive three-dimensional scenes.

The rounded viewer body, reel, optical sections, and lever details produce a playful yet precise mid-century design study. This restored edition preserves the original patent arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for media rooms, playrooms, studios, and collections of photography and optical design.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

I contacted Paola and asked if she could print me a Sanibel Island map - even though there wasn't one on her page for sale. She immediately responded with "yes" and sent me a photograph before printing for me to approve. My package came well protected; and my picture is absolutely perfect! It looks beautiful in the distressed wood frame I bought. My mom is going to love it; and now I have to order one for myself!
I absolutely love my framed map of Charleston. I ordered the 36x48 and it looks gorgeous hanging in my kitchen. The size makes it such a statement piece and everyone comments on how much they like it! It came with the hanging hardware, which was helpful and easy to use.
Justin did a fantastic time job! The print was gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for . Can not recommend him enough !! If you are looking for a high quality expensive looking print look no further . Will 100% be purchasing another print again . Thanks Justin !!!
