We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Orville and Wilbur Wright’s U.S. Patent 821,393, granted May 22, 1906, documents their “Flying-Machine” and its system of aerodynamic control. Filed in 1903, the patent centers on controlling the machine through coordinated changes to the wing surfaces rather than simply producing lift.

The sweeping wing plan, structural details, and control diagrams make this one of the most recognizable sheets in aviation history. The restored edition preserves the exact patent composition in crisp black linework, set on a cool timeworn page with a subtle black border.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. Designed for aviation collections, studies, workshops, and rooms devoted to exploration and engineering.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with a 1.125 inch face, glazed in crystal-clear acrylic, and finished with a kraft paper dust cover and hanging wire. Your print is dry mounted so it stays perfectly flat for decades. Each framed piece arrives ready to hang.

The frame adds roughly 1.75 inches to each side of the print size you select. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

From a Collector

I am so pleased with this print. The reproduction is true in colour, just as described. Couldn't be happier with the entire process.
