We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Alexander P. Ashbourne’s U.S. Patent 170,460, granted November 30, 1875, records Alexander P. Ashbourne’s spring-loaded biscuit cutter, designed to cut a group of evenly shaped biscuits and release them from the plate.

A broad cutter plate, shaped biscuit openings, spring handle, and side view produce a crisp culinary-mechanical composition. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

The seller was great! And the item even better. Exactly as described and my husband was thrilled with this gift. Got the largest, framed map and it is stunning. Love it!
Brilliant service. The seller reported a delay in the frame style, a second choice was immediately substituted, (visual choices were made available), and the shipment completed without any problem. He was candid, honest, and thorough. The item is stunning! It is the focal point in the living room,
I absolutely LOVE this map; the quality is worth the price! We own a retail seafood company and recently renovated. This map is the centerpiece that I am feeding off of the decor for the entire retail area. Shipping was right on and actually came earlier than expected within a week! Quality company for sure. Can't wait to order more maps !
