The Story Behind the Print
This 1871 Ashfield Plains and North Orange, Massachusetts map print sets the atlas sheet in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, pairing three village plans with printed business notices.
The sheet names Ashfield Plains, South Ashfield and North Orange, with Town of Ashfield and Town of Orange lettered under the titles. South River winds through the Ashfield plans, and Ashfield and Orange Business Notices fill the lower page.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
