The Story Behind the Print
This 1871 Berkley, Massachusetts map print follows the Taunton River through the town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with engraved property names and a neutral West Berkley inset.
The town overview identifies Berkley P.O., West Berkley, Assonet Bay, Grassy Island and Conspiracy Island among roads, schools and named properties, with the river and bay in neutral paper. A West Berkley plan and the Berkley business notices accompany the map.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
