The Story Behind the Print
This 1870 Athol, Massachusetts map print sets the town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with engraved hills, rivers and densely lettered village streets for a library or home office.
The map identifies Athol Depot, Athol P.O., Pine Dale, Chestnut Hill, Round Top and Ward Hill, with Millers River, Tully River, White Pond and the Reservoir in neutral paper. Two railroads and named properties cross the town, and business notices record local merchants.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
