The Story Behind the Print
This 1870 Chester, Massachusetts map print follows the hill town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper. Engraved ridges, brooks and closely lettered roads bring local detail to a study or library.
The map identifies Chester P.O., Chester Centre P.O., North Chester P.O., Dayville and Littleville, with the Middle and West branches of the Westfield River and Round Pond in neutral paper. Separate Littleville and North Chester plans remain neutral.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
