The Story Behind the Print
U.S. Design Patent 169,062, granted March 24, 1953 to Clarence L. Fender, records the ornamental form of an electric guitar through front, side, rear, and detail views. Its asymmetrical solid body and restrained hardware layout belong to a decisive period in amplified instrument design.
The four elevations read almost like an industrial-design presentation board, balancing the long neck with compact body profiles. This restored edition keeps the original black drafting lines and patent typography on cool timeworn paper with a restrained black border.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. An exacting addition to music rooms, studios, rehearsal spaces, and guitar collections.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
