We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Clarence L. Fender’s U.S. Patent 2573254, granted October 30, 1951, describes a compact bridge and electromagnetic pickup arrangement for an amplified stringed instrument, bringing string support and electrical response into one engineered assembly.

Plan, elevation, and sectional views reveal the saddles, pole pieces, coils, and mounting hardware in crisp mid-century drafting. This restored edition preserves the original patent arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for music rooms, recording studios, listening spaces, and guitar collections.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

So thrilled with my purchase! The map and frame turned out beautifully, and Justin was incredible to work with. He was communicative and helpful when I needed my item shipped as soon as possible/expedited. I even had to switch shipping addresses after my order was already processed, and they switched it with no problem. Will definitely be making another purchase from Archive! Thanks Justin!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I unpacked the New York Times print. The quality is amazing and it really almost looks as if you have an old copy in your hand - once it's on the wall you can barely tell the difference. I am super happy with this print and would recommend shopping at this store anytime. Thank you so much!
I contacted Paolo to see if she had a map of a certain coastal area that wasn't currently available on her site. She responded within a few hours and located the print by the next day. I received the map a few days after shipping. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the print or the service. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with!!!
