The Story Behind the Print
This 1875 East Woburn, Massachusetts map print shows the village in a pale hand-brushed wash on soft ivory paper, with the streets, ponds and railroad lines kept in the original fine black engraving.
The sheet is lettered East Woburn, Town of Woburn, with Burbank Pond, Whittemore Pond and Woodrough Pond, the Boston, Lowell and Nashua Railroad, Stoneham Branch, Rail Road Street, Glue Works, the Public Ground and the Winchester line marked.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
