We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Elias Howe Jr.’s U.S. Patent 4,750, granted September 10, 1846, records Elias Howe’s landmark sewing-machine mechanism, including the curved needle, shuttle, thread path, and cloth-feeding arrangement.

A large wheel, upright frame, and smaller working details give the sheet a balanced workshop character. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

I ordered two prints from Paola and it was a pleasure working with her. She went above and beyond by actually tracking down prints for me that she didn't have listed on the site at the time. The prints arrived in pristine condition, were exactly as shown in the photos and great quality. Would recommend to everyone.
Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband, and he loved it. It was exactly what he wanted. The item shipped fast. The seller was able to get my order to me before Christmas, even though I just ordered a week before. It's a beautiful map, quality item. Would buy from this seller again!
Great looking print. Paper was heavy & thick. The aging - spots, runs, etc added authenticity of it being an old chart. We Found a great frame and had it professionally mounted. Just the right size. Wanted to change the size And they were right on it - excellent product & seller. Thx
