The Story Behind the Print
This 1870 Fitchburg, Massachusetts map print presents the town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with waterways, engraved hills and fine lettering for a library or study.
The map identifies Fitchburg, West Fitchburg, South Fitchburg, Rockville and Crockerville. Railway routes and the Nashua River, left in neutral paper, connect named properties below Rollstone Hill, while Mt. Laurel and Forest Hill cemeteries and the Reservoir add local detail.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
