We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Henry Brown’s U.S. Patent 352,036, granted November 2, 1886, documents Henry Brown’s lockable receptacle for storing and preserving papers, with separated trays and compartments for organized secure storage.

The open document case and its sectioned compartments have the quiet authority of a finely made office object. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.

The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

Beautiful quality print and very well packed for shipping. Was a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it. Wonderful classic map showing intricate details of the city! Oh, and shipping was extremely fast for around the holidays. Thank you so much!!
Beautiful! The print exceeded my expectations. I had it framed locally, and the framer commented on the high quality of the paper. Well packaged to prevent damage. Will shop with this vendor again.
We bought the American flamingo framed print. I absolutely love it! Justin was super helpful with the shipping-we live in Hong Kong and these things and I was worried the glass etc may be damaged in shipping-but it arrived in perfect condition. Very happy customer, can highly recommend.
