The Story Behind the Print
This 1870 Monson, Massachusetts map print presents the town's long north-to-south outline in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with engraved hills for a library or study.
The map identifies Monson P.O., North Monson and South Monson, with Bald Peak, Cedar Swamp Mt., Tennyville and Blanchardville along the Quaboag River in neutral paper. The original title, compass, neighboring town names and ornamental border remain neutral.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
