The Story Behind the Print
This 1870 Oxford, Massachusetts map print gives the long town outline a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper. Roads, waterways and closely lettered properties add historic detail for a study or library.
The map identifies North Oxford P.O., Oxford P.O., Larned Village, Hodges Village and Buffumville, with the French River and the town's ponds in neutral paper. Separate Hodges Village and North Oxford plans remain neutral at right, beside the Oxford business notices.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
