The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Golden-winged Woodpecker print reproduces plate 37 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired gallery walls.
Five woodpeckers gather around a weathered tree trunk, some perched in full view and others peering from behind the bark. The central bird spreads golden-yellow wings and tail feathers, contrasting with spotted breasts, barred brown backs and reddish heads in a richly detailed woodland scene.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
