The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Fox-coloured Sparrow print reproduces plate 108 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and woodland gallery walls.
Two rust-brown sparrows face one another across a low patch of mossy ground. Speckled pale breasts, blue-gray head markings and finely layered wings stand above scattered leaves, while small red berries, delicate grasses and fernlike foliage fill the foreground.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
