The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Yellow-winged Sparrow print reproduces plate 130 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
A small sparrow stands among pink phlox, slender grasses and dark rocks beside a narrow patch of water. Its yellow breast and brow contrast with delicately patterned brown wings, while tall flowering stems rise around the compact bird and rocky foreground.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
