The Story Behind the Print
This vintage White-crowned Sparrow print reproduces plate 114 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and woodland gallery walls.
A sparrow with a boldly striped black-and-white crown perches beside dark grapes and broad green leaves. A second bird peers from behind the lower foliage, while finely layered brown wings, curling stems and mottled leaf surfaces give the compact scene its distinctive texture.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
