The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Pewit Flycatcher print reproduces plate 120 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
Two dark-headed flycatchers perch among opened cotton bolls. The upper bird stretches along a branch, while its pale-breasted companion spreads gray wings and tail below; fluffy white cotton and warm brown husks frame the birds against the spare branching stems.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
