The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Golden-crowned Thrush print reproduces plate 143 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and woodland gallery walls.
Two thrushes occupy a leafy waterside scene with red berries, fallen wood and yellow mushrooms. The upper bird hangs beneath a twig, showing its pale spotted underside as a small insect hovers nearby; the lower bird faces left along a diagonal branch.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
