The Story Behind the Print
This Audubon bird print reproduces plate 356 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. The historical engraving names the subject Marsh Hawk.
Three hawks occupy a marshland scene: a brown bird spreads its wings above the branches, a pale bird perches among them, and a third rests below amid grasses. Fine feather markings and the distant waterside landscape give the composition its layered natural-history character. The original No. 72, Plate CCCLVI, engraved title and printer's credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat.
