The Story Behind the Print
This Audubon bird print reproduces plate 364 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. The original engraved title names the White-winged Crossbill.
Four crossbills gather among the leaves and seed clusters of Newfoundland alder. Two red birds and two muted green birds show contrasting plumage, while the plate number, species caption, and original credits remain part of the composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
