The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Indian palace menu print reproduces the January 29, 1897 dinner menu from Makarpura Palace in Baroda, India, restored as historical wall art for dining rooms, studies, libraries, and travel-themed gallery walls.
A heraldic crest, fine brown ornamental rules, and French and Marathi lettering decorate a pale paper ground. The dated dinner menu combines formal heraldry and multilingual typography in a distinctive piece of late 19th century Indian dining history.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
