The Story Behind the Print
This 1871 Shutesbury, Massachusetts map print places the complete hill town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with engraved terrain and closely lettered properties for a study or library.
The main town map identifies Locks Village P.O., Shutesbury Centre P.O., Locks Pond and Mount Mineral Springs among schools, roads and named properties. A separate Millington village plan stays neutral, beside the shaded title, Shutesbury business notices and the ornamental sheet border.
