The Story Behind the Print
This 1873 Ware, Massachusetts map print follows the Ware River through a green town landscape. Its finely engraved hills, railway routes and property names suit a study or local history collection.
From F. W. Beers's 1873 Hampshire County atlas, the green town map follows the Ware River past Ware village, Ware Centre and Gilbertville. Muddy Brook, Mud Pond, roads, railway routes and named properties fill the landscape, which extends through intentional openings in the ornamental border.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
