The Story Behind the Print
This 1871 Whately, Massachusetts map print places the town's three named sections in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with roads, brooks and lettered farms for a study or library.
The main overview identifies West Whately, Whately Centre P.O. and East Whately P.O., with Popple Hill, Mt. Esther and the Mill River among named properties, and the Connecticut River along the eastern edge. The Whately Centre plan and business notices remain neutral.

About the Frame
