The Story Behind the Print
This 1869 Windsor Locks, Connecticut map print shows Windsor Locks beside the Connecticut River in a faded sage wash on warm cream paper, with named streets, names beside marked buildings and a Business Reference list.
The map letters Oak, Spring, Church, Elm, School, South, Main and Centre streets, the Canal, the New Haven Hartford and Springfield R. R., Kettle Brook, Adds Brook, the Ice House and Grove Cemetery, with paper and stockinet mills, a cotton mill, the Gas Works and the Station named.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
