The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Winter Hawk print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration from Birds of America, plate 71, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
A hawk spreads its barred wings low over marsh vegetation, with a frog beneath its talons. Pale breast feathers, a sharply hooked bill, and long grasses create a detailed, earth-toned wetland scene.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
About the Frame
