The Story Behind the Print

This 1910 Brewster, Massachusetts map print sets the index map in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with Cape Cod Bay along the north shore and the town's ponds lettered inland.

The index map names West Brewster, North Brewster, East Brewster, South Brewster, Clarks Point, Long Pond, Middle Pond and Cliff Pond. Dennis, Harwich and Orleans are lettered along the border, with the scale given as 1450 feet to the inch.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
