The Story Behind the Print

This 1910 Chatham, Massachusetts map print washes the Index Map to the Town of Chatham in soft hand-brushed sage on ivory paper, with fine dark ink for the shores, roads and numbered detail plates.

The Barnstable County sheet names Pleasant Bay, Nantucket Sound, Stage Harbor and Stetsons Cove, with Chatham Port, West Chatham and South Chatham marked on the plan. Detail plates of West Chatham and South Chatham fill the upper page.

Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.

October 2017

“I ordered two prints from Paola and it was a pleasure working with her. She went above and beyond by actually tracking down prints for me that she didn't have listed on the site at the time. The prints arrived in pristine condition, were exactly as shown in the photos and great quality. Would recommend to everyone.”

November 2016

“Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband, and he loved it. It was exactly what he wanted. The item shipped fast. The seller was able to get my order to me before Christmas, even though I just ordered a week before. It's a beautiful map, quality item. Would buy from this seller again!”
