The Story Behind the Print

This 1910 Harwich, Cape Cod map print sets the town in a pale hand-brushed wash on soft ivory paper, with its roads, ponds, harbors and detail plates kept in the original engraving.

The sheet is an index map of the Town of Harwich, Barnstable County, with a Harwichport plan across the top, Pleasant Lake, Hinckleys Pond, Grassy Pond, Allen's Harbor, Wychmere Harbor, Nantucket Sound, and Brewster, Dennis and Chatham lettered along the borders.

Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
