We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Granted February 19, 1878, Thomas A. Edison’s U.S. Patent 200,521 documents his “Improvement in Phonograph or Speaking Machines”—a landmark mechanism for recording and reproducing sound. The patent followed Edison’s 1877 experiments with sound vibrations impressed into a rotating surface.

Across the sheet, the cylinder, stylus, diaphragm, and operating parts are resolved as precise black linework. This restored edition keeps the scale and documentary arrangement of the patent intact, pairing the drawing with a cool aged-paper surface and a simple weathered border.

Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. Its compact proportions suit music rooms, studios, offices, and layered gallery walls.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Item was exactly as it was presented on the website and was even more beautiful in person. The shop owner was friendly and answered every question I had and worked diligently to get my framed print delivered before the holidays.
Wow wow wow! I am BEYOND thrilled with this piece. The quality of the print and the frame- absolutely stunning. Came earlier than expected. Justin is fantastic. Will definitely be ordering from him again. 10/10 would recommend!! If you’re on the fence, do it; you won’t regret it.
Initially, I wasn't sure what size I needed. The seller was extremely helpful and offered to send mock-up images of the image in the frame so I could physically visualize the piece! Overall, it is a beautiful accent piece for our entryway table! Frame/image came packed well with not a scratch on it! Would recommend this seller 100%.
