The Story Behind the Print
George Gimera et al.’s U.S. Patent 2032695, granted March 3, 1936, describes a compact pocket lighter with a protected fuel reservoir, wick, flint wheel, and hinged cover arranged for dependable one-handed use.
The upright exterior view and tightly drawn sectional details give this small everyday object the presence of a precision instrument. This restored edition preserves the original patent arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for bars, studies, workshops, and collections of product design.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
