The Story Behind the Print

This 1884 Groveland, Massachusetts map print places the town in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper above a separate village plan, rich detail for a library or home office.

The town overview identifies Groveland and Johnson's Pond beside the Merrimac River, both left in neutral paper, with Bradford, Haverhill and West Newbury named at its borders. The Village of Old Town plan below the heavy divider remains neutral, as do the engraved Groveland title and complete sheet neatline.

Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.

“The Maryland map I received is stunning-- high quality and exactly as pictured. The seller, Justin, was very knowledgeable and responsive to all my questions about the image. I was able to follow up based on information he shared and provide this information to the recipient of my gift of this map. I will definitely shop here again.”

March 2022

“Very pleased with Justin's work. We received our print in less than a week and couldn't be happier with the final result. Both the map and the frame were high quality with great detail. Justin was also a pleasure to work with and responded timely to all of my questions. I would highly recommend this shop.”

January 2020

“Shipped soon after I ordered and came in about a week! (That includes a holiday and the weekend). I loved how carefully packaged my print came and it even had a note from the seller, very thoughtful touch. The print looks so clear and the paper is great quality, it looks even better than the picture online. I would 100% recommend this shop/ seller.”
