The Story Behind the Print

This 1910 Orleans, Massachusetts map print sets the Cape Cod town in a pale hand-brushed wash on soft ivory paper, with the index map of the town beside a plan of North Chatham.

The sheet is lettered Index Map to the Town of Orleans, Barnstable Co. Mass., with Town Cove, Pleasant Bay, Pochet Neck, Crystal Lake and Pilgrim Lake marked, red detail plate numbers, and a plan of Part of Town of Chatham, North Chatham.

Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.

“I love this map! It came in perfect condition and it is beautiful! We had to get a custom frame which can get pricey, especially for the size we chose 48 × 36 but it looks great and filled our large wall perfectly! Great find!”

“Love it!! I don’t know how they did it, but they manage to make the map look old and like something from a museum. The frame is gorgeous. Shipped fast and was very carefully packaged so it arrived in perfect condition. Bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! Thanks!!”
