The Story Behind the Print
Peter Schlumbohm’s U.S. Patent 2,241,368, granted May 6, 1941, describes a filtering vessel built around a conical paper filter and a narrow central passage. The design joins laboratory clarity with the proportions of a useful household object.
Three large figures move from section to profile and plan, making the glass form and filter path immediately legible. The restored sheet keeps that spare modern geometry intact in black archival linework on a cool old-page ground with a simple black border.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
