The Story Behind the Print

This vintage Pigeon Hawk print reproduces plate 92 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired gallery walls.

Two raptors balance on a lichen-covered branch above green and golden leaves. The upper bird's folded gray-brown wings contrast with the lower bird's spread feathers and warm, streaked breast, while barred tails and sharply drawn talons complete the lively composition.

Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
