The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Grass Finch or Bay-winged Bunting print reproduces plate 94 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
A brown, streaked bird stands on weathered rock beneath a flowering prickly pear cactus. Yellow blossoms brighten the green pads, while a warm orange wing patch and pale eye ring distinguish the bird against the textured stone and fine surrounding grasses.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
