The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Carolina Titmouse print reproduces plate 160 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
Two small black-capped birds animate a tangle of supple-jack stems. One bends downward from a crossing branch while the other opens its wings below, surrounded by pointed green leaves and sprays of tiny yellow flowers; pale cheeks and finely lined feathers stand out against the darker wood.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
